Goblin Watcher process 1

Just started another new painting. I'm really happy with the drawing, hope I can carry that through to the final painting. This is just the ground so far.

Hand of Flame process 2

I added flames. Scott Murphy and I took some reference last night of flames. Don't play with fire. This was work (and not play) so obviously this rule did not apply to us at this time. There will be more flames coming from the middle of the hand in the future, cause right now it looks like a flame behind a hand.

Hand of Flame process 1

Since I came back from Comic-Con San Diego, I'v realized I need more high fantasy pieces. This is my attempt at one of those Magic cards that depict spells or items. Soon I shall put in flames and such.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

This is the final image of the piece I did at the Illustration Master Class. The image is of the Wizard on a balcony of the Emerald City. As he looks through his spyglass, he sees Dorothy's house tumbling out of the sky. I wanted him to be conveying this feel of angst, wondering if the truth behind his character will be found out by the people that worship him.

Sorry this took so long, this is my Elk. Elk , 5" x 5", Oil on Masonite, 2009.

Best in Show

I was just awarded a Best in Show prize for "The Lands March" from the Dalton Arts Guild. The show is up at Miller's Art Supply on 205 West St. in Pittsfield, MA 01201. Please go check it out if you are in the area. The Dalton Arts Guild has always supported my work, dating back to high school when they gave me my first award, a First prize in the Student category for a sculpture I did of a Tapir.
