This will be one of my upcoming Sw!pe Magazine submission. They are asking for museum specific pieces for the next issue, so I thought I would show a subject I witness day in day out. So many people come to the museum after flying great distances, or they just get over stimulated, at least those are the reasons I would like to believe in which someone would fall asleep at a museum. Some people may just be plain bored, but this is something I see most days as I work. There is also something brilliantly honest about a man sleeping next to historically important artwork. No matter how much money or fame a piece can have, some people just don't think it's important. I love that so much. Sleeping (Degas) - 11" x 16", Oil on Paper on Masonite, 2010.
